Multi purposed Indigenous Welcome to Country presentation

The brief

Paying respect to the traditional custodians of the land, the WACA required a multi-purposed Welcome to County presentation dedicated to the Whadjuk Nyoongar people that could be used across multiple platforms and settings, which included in stadium match days, client presentations and internal meetings.

The solution

After consultation with local elders and the WACA, I led the creative development, which included visual storyboarding, film treatment, written script and filming direction for the presentation which was focussed around the Swan River and it’s connection to the people and stadiums that sit along it, telling the story of the natural fauna and flora that surrounds the Swan River and it’s meaning to the traditional owners of the land in which the stadiums are located on.
